What is Chaya?

Chaya (Cnidoscolus chayamansa) is an ancient leafy green cultivated by the Maya for centuries. One of the most nutrient-dense plants on earth; Chaya is rich in protein, iron, calcium, and antioxidants. 

Are YAX chips healthy?

Yes, because they contain nixtamalized corn with Chaya, sourced directly from the region, and made with avocado oil and sea salt from Yucatán. No artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

Where are YAX chips made?

We make YAX Snacks in Yucatán, Mexico. 

Do YAX chips contain gluten?

No. All YAX products are made from nixtamalized corn. Naturally gluten-free.

Where can I buy YAX?

What does "nixtamalized" mean?

An ancient Mesoamerican process where corn is soaked in lime water to unlock nutrients, improve flavor and texture. 

What makes YAX different from other tortilla chips?

We use chaya! We cook with avocado oil. Yucatecan flavor profiles you really can't find on other snack shelves. Straight from Yucatán!

Is YAX organic/non-GMO?

We seek organic and non-GMO certifications. Our ingredients are natural, directly sourced, and processed without artificial additives.
